Scale:

Ingredients

  • 1 bag (10 oz) sturdy tortilla chips
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 scallions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce
  • 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 cup shredded sharp white cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp Salted Perfection Sriracha Finishing Salt
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground pork, breaking it up with a spatula. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic, ginger, and white parts of the scallions to the pork. Stir and cook for 2 minutes until fragrant. This is where the flavor punches ya in the chops!
  4. Stir in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sriracha sauce, and toasted sesame oil. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
  5. Spread the tortilla chips evenly on the prepared baking sheet. Scatter the cooked pork mixture over the chips, then sprinkle evenly with cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Don’t let ’em burn, capisce?
  7. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with Salted Perfection Sriracha Finishing Salt, toasted sesame seeds, chopped cilantro, and the green parts of the scallions.
  8. Serve hot with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over. Now that’s a knockout appetizer to start any feast!

Tony’s Fine Print

They tell me every recipe needs a little fine print, so here’s mine. I do my best to keep things straight, no surprises and no sneaky allergens. The info you see here is put together with care, capisce? But kitchens are wild places and ingredients do not always behave. Always double-check the labels on what you buy, especially if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. If something does not look right, trust your gut (and your doctor) before you trust me. Bottom line: I am here to guide, not to diagnose. You cook, you taste, you take responsibility.

Deal? Good. Now let’s eat.

I made this for my hockey-watch party and it was gone before I could get a taste! Everyone loved it and I need to make more.
