This crumble, a real stunner, brings together sweet blueberries with a bright lemon kick, all under a perfectly crisp topping. That special Salted Perfection Lemoncello Garnishing Salt? It's gonna make those flavors pop like a firework on the Fourth of July, capiche?

Made to serve: 3-4
Scale:

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh blueberries
  • 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Salted Perfection Lemoncello Garnishing Salt (for the filling)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 tsp Salted Perfection Lemoncello Garnishing Salt (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grab an 8x8 inch baking dish or four individual ramekins, ready to go.
  2. For the filling: In a medium bowl, gently combine the blueberries, 2 Tbsp granulated sugar, fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and cornstarch. Toss 'em nice and easy, don't go mashing those beautiful berries.
  3. For the crumble topping: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, rolled oats, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and cinnamon. Now, add your cold, cubed butter. Use your fingertips or a pastry blender to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Don't overmix, or you'll get a tough topping, and nobody wants that, eh?
  4. Pour the blueberry filling into your prepared baking dish or individual ramekins.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the blueberries, making sure every berry gets some love.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is a beautiful golden brown and the blueberry filling is bubbly and thick.
  7. Let the crumble cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving. This lets the filling set up properly, trust me.
  8. Just before serving, sprinkle the remaining 1 tsp Salted Perfection Lemoncello Garnishing Salt over the warm crumble for that extra zing, a real flavor bomb!

Tony’s Fine Print

They tell me every recipe needs a little fine print, so here’s mine. I do my best to keep things straight, no surprises and no sneaky allergens. The info you see here is put together with care, capisce? But kitchens are wild places and ingredients do not always behave. Always double-check the labels on what you buy, especially if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. If something does not look right, trust your gut (and your doctor) before you trust me. Bottom line: I am here to guide, not to diagnose. You cook, you taste, you take responsibility.

Deal? Good. Now let’s eat.
