You know that feeling when the sun dips below the horizon and the air gets just a little crisp? That’s what this drink tastes like. It takes me back to holidays with the cousins, sneaking a little extra punch when Nonna wasn't looking. We're taking simple cranberry and rum, but waking it up with a savory, herbal rim that makes you wonder why you ever drank it plain. It’s lived-in, it’s comfortable, and it’s got just enough kick to keep the conversation flowing.

Made to serve: 3-4
Scale:

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Salted Perfection Plymouth Select Blend
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 2 cups cranberry juice, chilled
  • 1 cup club soda or sparkling water, chilled
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 4 cups ice cubes
  • Fresh cranberries (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Take a lime wedge and run it along the rim of four highball or rocks glasses to moisten them.
  2. Pour the Salted Perfection Plymouth Select Blend onto a small plate. Dip the wet rim of each glass into the blend, rotating gently to coat the edge with that savory, cranberry-infused seasoning.
  3. Fill each glass to the top with ice cubes. Don't be shy with the ice; we want this crisp.
  4. Pour 1/4 cup of rum into each glass over the ice.
  5. Add 1/2 cup of cranberry juice to each glass.
  6. Top each glass with about 1/4 cup of club soda for that signature spritzer fizz.
  7. Give each drink a gentle stir with a spoon to combine the layers without killing the bubbles.
  8. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge or a few floating cranberries if you have them handy.
  9. Serve immediately while it's still bubbling. DUNZO!

Tony’s Fine Print

They tell me every recipe needs a little fine print, so here’s mine. I do my best to keep things straight, no surprises and no sneaky allergens. The info you see here is put together with care, capisce? But kitchens are wild places and ingredients do not always behave. Always double-check the labels on what you buy, especially if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. If something does not look right, trust your gut (and your doctor) before you trust me. Bottom line: I am here to guide, not to diagnose. You cook, you taste, you take responsibility.

Deal? Good. Now let’s eat.
