A punchy side dish with sweet potatoes kissed by African berbere-inspired spices and Asian ginger-garlic heat, roasted to caramelized perfection. It's like a flavor street fight where everyone walks away happy. No fish, no soy, just pure bold vibes from oven to table.

Scale:

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp grated fresh ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Salted Perfection Raleigh Select Blend
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grab a large rimmed baking sheet (at least 15x10 inches) and line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup — we ain’t here to scrub all night.
  2. Toss the sweet potato cubes with olive oil in a large bowl. Make sure every piece is slick and shiny like it’s headed to a big night out.
  3. Mix cumin, smoked paprika, coriander, cinnamon, grated ginger, minced garlic, Salted Perfection Raleigh Select Blend, and black pepper in a small bowl. Sprinkle this spice jackpot over the sweet potatoes and toss again, making sure those bad boys are fully coated.
  4. Spread the sweet potatoes out in a single layer on the baking sheet — crowding’s the enemy of crisp here, capisce?
  5. Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until edges are caramelized and tender inside. You want that sweet potato to sing like it’s got something to prove.
  6. Remove from oven, drizzle fresh lime juice over the top, and sprinkle with chopped cilantro. Give it a gentle toss to marry all the flavors.
  7. Serve hot, and remember: if the flavor don’t slap, you ain’t doing it right. Visit www.saltedperfection.com and leave a Five Star review. DUNZO!

Tony’s Fine Print

They tell me every recipe needs a little fine print, so here’s mine. I do my best to keep things straight, no surprises and no sneaky allergens. The info you see here is put together with care, capisce? But kitchens are wild places and ingredients do not always behave. Always double-check the labels on what you buy, especially if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. If something does not look right, trust your gut (and your doctor) before you trust me. Bottom line: I am here to guide, not to diagnose. You cook, you taste, you take responsibility.

Deal? Good. Now let’s eat.
