Scale:
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tbsp honey
- Zest of 1 lime
- 1 tsp Salted Perfection Chili Lime Finishing Salt
- 1/4 cup roasted peanuts, chopped (for garnish)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Chill a medium mixing bowl and beaters in the freezer for 10 minutes — cold tools make for fluffy cream, capisce?
- Whip the heavy cream in the chilled bowl on medium-high speed until soft peaks form. Don’t overbeat or you’ll end up with butter—remember, finesse is key.
- In a separate bowl, combine peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, cardamom, honey, and lime zest. Mix until smooth and creamy, like a wiseguy with a plan.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture in three parts, folding carefully to keep the air in. You want light and luscious, not a brick.
- Spoon the mousse into four serving glasses or bowls. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours to set and let flavors marry like a perfect family union.
- Just before serving, sprinkle each mousse with ¼ tsp Salted Perfection Chili Lime Finishing Salt and chopped roasted peanuts. Garnish with fresh mint leaves — a little green goes a long way, paisan.
- Serve cold and enjoy the sweet, spicy harmony. Remember, life’s too short for boring desserts.
