Scale:
Ingredients
- 8 limes (quartered)
- 1 cup cachaça
- 1/2 cup simple syrup
- 1 tablespoon fresh grated ginger
- Ice cubes
- 1/2 teaspoon South Beach Select Blend
Instructions
- Toss the lime quarters and grated ginger into a sturdy glass or shaker. Muddle ’em good — you want that juice and ginger oils singing, not squashed like a Sunday gravy mess.
- Pour in the simple syrup and cachaça. Give it a vigorous shake or stir, like you mean it.
- Fill 4 old-fashioned glasses with ice cubes. Strain the muddled lime-ginger mix evenly into each glass, making sure you get that precious juice but not the pulp.
- Sprinkle a pinch of South Beach Select Blend salt on top of each drink. Salt brings out the lime’s brightness and the ginger’s zing — that’s the secret sauce.
- Garnish each glass with a thin lime wheel or a small ginger slice. Serve immediately, and watch the flavor hit you like a wiseguy’s punchline.
