Made to serve: 3-4
Scale:

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 medium garlic clove, finely minced
  • 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil (liquid gold, baby!)
  • 1/2 teaspoon South Beach Select Blend
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh cilantro (optional)

Instructions

  1. Whisk together lime juice, orange juice, honey, Dijon, and minced garlic in a medium bowl until honey dissolves.
  2. Slowly drizzle in olive oil while whisking briskly—emulsion is the name of the game here. Should look silky, not separated.
  3. Sprinkle in South Beach Select Blend, cumin, and black pepper. Whisk again. If using, fold in cilantro at the end. Taste and adjust seasoning; balance is everything.
  4. Pour into a jar. Chill for at least 15 minutes so the flavors get cozy.
  5. Shake well before serving. Drizzle over crisp greens, grilled shrimp, or whatever needs a Latin-Caribbean hug.

Tony’s Fine Print

They tell me every recipe needs a little fine print, so here’s mine. I do my best to keep things straight, no surprises and no sneaky allergens. The info you see here is put together with care, capisce? But kitchens are wild places and ingredients do not always behave. Always double-check the labels on what you buy, especially if you have allergies or dietary restrictions. If something does not look right, trust your gut (and your doctor) before you trust me. Bottom line: I am here to guide, not to diagnose. You cook, you taste, you take responsibility.

Deal? Good. Now let’s eat.
